A remake of my original TL-442 Kingdom of Italy map, which can be found here: [link]

For those that don't know, TL-442 is essentially a world or timeline (hence "TL") in which the Napoleonic Wars went very differently. I'm not entirely sure what happened, because I don't know enough about history to make up something plausible. I do know that in this timeline Italy is much stronger and an informal ally of Britain. I also know that Italy was united under the House of Sforza rather than the House of Savoy.

I updated the map to have more historical borders (i.e. borders that existed historically, not borders that Italy itself had historically) and to have regions instead of states, because I didn't like the idea of a federal Kingdom of Italy.

Also, Italy has a brilliant and badass national anthem, in my opinion, just look at the chorus:

"Let us join in a cohort,
We are ready to die.
We are ready to die,
Italy has called.
Let us join in a cohort,
We are ready to die.
We are ready to die,
Italy has called!"

I don't know about you, but that sounds much cooler than "God save the Queen" to me.
