A map I made for a contest on AlternateHistory.com, depicting an alternate Eastern Roman Empire and its expansion across 419 years.

Due to time constrains I opted not to add more detail, but I may come back to this in future and add things like cities on to it.

Really nice! Would prefer a version where they attempt to retake Rome instead of the majority of the ME, but still, awesome!

That sounds like a challenge to me!

My next map will probably be an alternate Persian Empire, but after that I'll do a map with a successor to the Roman Empire that has retaken/has tried to retake much of Rome's former territory.

wnat i would like to See is a Roman Empire, that instead of Beign Destroyed by the Barbarian Hordes, wars Reduced to To Italy, South West France, and The Southern Germanic Region.... and to have in Servive to the Modern Era, untill a War Between it and the United States.....

Also you're ignoring the fact that in a world where the Roman Empire survives the USA is highly unlikely to exist.

That's what the Eastern Empire did in the mid-to-late 500s. By 565 they had taken Italy, Sicily, Carthage and southern Spain.

I never thought up a POD for this map; it's not from a world that I thought about in any detail.
